They went 5-6 in preseason, 7-7 in league and ll- l 5 overall. This team also won the Antioch tournament helore th season started. Their 19-11 record was the 2nd highest win total in the school's history. In the pre-season, the Falcons took Znd place honors in the AntiochfKiwanis Invita- tional Tournament. Foothill won the first game of the tournament, a thrilling 59-58 decision over San Rafael, who eventually won the NCS ZA Championship. Host An- tioch topped the Falcons in the champion- ship game. In the American HighfTim Cole Invita- tional, Foothill defeated host American, 62- 48, and then captured the championship with a thrilling 59-57 overtime victory. Mit- ty of San jose, who were 11-O at the time. The resurgent Falcons concluded a 6-5 preseason with a victory over San Jose. The Falcons continued to win when the EBAI. season began. A 5-2 lst half and 6-I ' Znd half' gave the ll-S Falcons a Znd place finish and host of the Shaughnessy Play-offs. Two wins against rival Amador highlighted the EBAL season. In the play-offs, Foothill defeated Dublin, lost to Monte Vista, then defeated Monte Vista in the final Shaughnessy game. This 2nd place league finish gave the Falcons an automatic berth into the NCS 3A Play-offs. A tough 65-46 loss to Logan, who eventually won the NCS 3A title, ended a most successful season for the Falcons. 'AI will miss the enthusiasm and dedica- tion this team displayed. They were a pleasure to coach and a joy to watch. They had extreme confidence in each others abilities, and really came together as a team, I enjoyed every practice with this group, stated Coach Hansen. 55 r

Miss Hill is looking fiorwarcl to the returning players, and will miss the ones who are leaving. She hopes rhai the winning attitucle and the team spirit comes hack with the team.
