LEARN BY DOING -ROP's motto The Regional Occupational Program QROPD provides many different classes for on the job training to anyone sixteen years of age and older. The students in the pro- gram learn a variety of skills ranging from market skills to good work habits. The goal of the ROP program is to prepare the student with training for the future. People interested in ROP can take courses ranging from Animal Science, Meat Cutting, Walter Pollution Control, Cosmotology, Child Care, and Welding technology. 56 CSF-Calfornia Scholastic Federation is an organization of students concerned with academic excellence. A istudent must apply each semester in order to be a member of CSF and he must meet certain set academic standards. Acceptance to CSF automatically qualifies one to receive scholarships at many state colleges, universities and private schools. Life membership Qfour semesters out of six, one of which must fall within the senior year,D helps students qualify for college admittance. CFS's Motto is Scholarship for Service. The organization provides school, as well as community services. The members act as guides for Back to School Nightg work at sporting eventsg work in the ofhce doing secretarial workg and have adopted the Senior Citizens at a Pleasanton Con- valescent Hospital for their special project. Each member must participate in at least two service projects per semester. As a reward for active service, CSF takes a field trip each semester.
