iterar Magazine U-2511 . 1 Riding on the wave of the massive fame and success of 1986's magazine, Pen is Pen , the Literary Club soared to great heights with a new and exciting newsletter entitled 'iThe Alchemist. After this publication, the club worked feverously to publish the soon to be classic Eat My Parakeet. The Literary Club exists to promote student writing of any creative bent and to publish the shinning works of these starving iwe don't have brunch anymore,D young artists. The club promised to have the best-ever-in-the-whole-wide-world- publication party for Eat My Parakeet . At the Literary Festival held in May, free magazines, live music, classical recitals, poetry readings, films, free access to drinking fountains, free parking, and free air . . . can life get any better? will be provided. The Foreign Exchange Club is a mixture between Americans and Foreign Exchange Students who get together onoe a week, planning common activities under the sponsorship of Ms. Cooper. The idea of the club is to get together and to have a good time. It is also a support group for the exchange students in their new environment. Activities during the fall have been: a weloome party, Super Bowl night, ice skating a trip to San Francisoog a bike tour to Sunol Regional Park and a Halloween Party. For the spring, plans have been made for a visit to Alcatraz, a trip to Berkeley, a trip to Golden Gate Park, and to see the aquarium in Monterey. g
