- - Halcyon Staff 86-87 The purpose of the Yearbook staff is to create a memory of the year for the entire student body. Our main goal for this year was to mention or picture each students at least twice. Yearbook is an enjoyable class, but much time and effort goes into its production. The preparation for year- book starts months before the new school year. This year's preparations consisted of three different seminars. At the beginning of the summer there was a seminar at Dominican College in San Rafeal attended by Mrs. Robb. In early August there was a photography seminar in San Francisco at Lowell High School. At this seminar Barbara Clune and Derek Fritts learned the techniques of good picture taking. The third seminar was in Berkeley just before school started. Barbara Clune, Cori Pilkington, and Dori Enriquez spent three days learning the do's and don't's for putting together a successful yearbook. This year our yearbook staff has hired a new company, Taylor Publishing Company. This company emphasizes the use of computers unlike last year's publishing company. Computers are a new thing for most of us, but gradually we are all learning its techni- ques. We have discovered that we like using computers because they have proven to be much more efficient and less time consuming for efficient production. Yearbook may sound like a lot of work, it is! But at the end of the school year, each and every one of us who worked on the yearbook is proud of his work. We are looking forward, with anticipation, to seeing the completed book. lil' 'iii SW'-,fr ....... .--,- ... .g 4. mfti' ' f v 1.
