That's What Friends Are for At last, jennifer Madrid and Ron Perkins made it to the front of the line. Shades of pale pink unite this bevy of beauties. Top Row, Left to Right: Kim Scola, Teresa Kennedy, Amy Brimeyer, Vicki Draper, Kim Sherman, Lisa Legan and Laura Stankovich. Znd Row, Left to Right: Kristin Zierau, Amanda Reynolds and Rhonda Emmanuel. The Class of '87 celebrated the close of is . - .ff their junior year by dancing the night away at jack London Square's, Shinanigan's. The highlight of the evening was the long wait for the Of- ficial photograph. The Buffet was a delicious array of Hors douvres and pastries which disappeared before everyone even had an opportunity to eat. The music was provided by a DJ. who was a beat late. It included Top 40 hits from such greats as Phil Collins, Huey Lewis, Madonna, Eddie Murphy, and other popular performers. The -theme song, That's What Friends are For, was a big hit along with Shout, which ended this memorable evening. Girls in their satiny fotmals and guys in their tuxedoes awaited their limos while proud Moms and Dads took rolls of pictures. Then -it was out the door to drive in luxury to such restaurants as The Hungry Hunter, Bobby McGee's, Pedro's, and the Black Angus, for a -I special pre-prom dinner. After the dance, many couples headed to a late breakfast at an all night restaurant or at their own homes. But, the fun hadn't come to an end. Friends gathered together to head off to Santa D Cruz and Capitola for a relaxing day of 9,4 sun and surf. Finally, thirty-six hours - I' later, tired and out of sorts, many A students returned home and went to bed. Early comets, Michelle Cavallini and Derek Fritts enjoyed the dance. Senior 193
