160 Senior SE OR PICNIC The morning of September 18 started off in chaos as the Seniors attempted to reach for an 87 on the quad. They posed atop each others shoulders, cheering as they waited for the yearbook photographer to take their pictures. The freshmen and sophomores hurried by on their way to class, while the juniors strutted around thinking that they owned the school now that the seniors were gone. As the seniors boarded the buses, it was announced that they would spend their senior picnic terrorizing Oakwood Lake Resort. The bus ride went by in a flash with singing and laughter to pass the time. Upon arrival, everyone streamed out of the buses to bask in the warm sun. Music blared as seniors exchanged shorts and tennies for bathing suits and towels. The rest of the day was spent roaring down the Rapids on mats and inner tubes. No one seemed to mind that the tunnel became clogged with people. In addition to the Rapids, other entertainment included swimming in the lake, volleyball, chowing down on hot dogs, and dancing to your favorite music. If none of these past times were interesting, there was always the beach where you could soak up some rays. As the day came to close, the seniors made their weary way back to the buses, sorry to leave, but secure in their knowledge that this was the best Senior Picnic ever. Secretary Kristin Lipman Before school started this year, I put on the teacher faculty breakfast for my main project in Leadership. I would like to see more people become involved in the schools activities. I hope that the projects and activities that I contribute to will help the school spirit grow. I en- joy being involved with the school func- tions and I like the freedom to express my ideas and opinions in o Leadership. Seni President Teresa Kennedy As the senior class president, I have been working towards unifying the senior class, I was impressed with the large numbers of seniors who are becoming involved in our activities. This proves to me that the students at Foothill really are interested in main- taining school spirit. Foothill is an ex- cellent school, I enjoy working with the government initiating nevi activities and brainstorming ideas. I am glad I got involved it is the best project I have ever taken on. Vice President jeffStutz I wanted to get involved in something where I could be a factor. Sure I could just show up at the meetings but I thought I could do more as Vice-President, I hoped to add new ideas and help get the senior class more motivated, I came in hoping to help Teresa because vsith some inspira- tion this senior class can go a long way. It was a fun year and I am glad I got to be a part ofit. Treasurer Lee Green I like being involved in student government. It is a challenge to plan and arrange senior activities, fund raisers and school functions. Last sum' mer I attended a California Association of Student Councils Leadership camp ' Santa Barbara, This camp helped me to improve my communication and deci+ sion making skills. It prepared me for my office a great deal. I was glad to see fficers our seniors more involved in the school's activities and fund raisers, - ee! 159
