CRADUATIO Mrs. Dattillo and Mrs. Dini congratulate daugh- ters Annzi and Joan. f' . 57, X will Four years of Catholic education are climaxed on graduation night. To the solemn strains of Pomp and Circumstancej' we arrive at commencement. Our red roses symbolize courage and our white gowns purity, as we stand fortified with Christian principles, ready to take our places in the world. Among the January graduates who have brought honor to their parents, their school, and themselves are valedictorian Maureen Corrigan, who received the General Excellence Medal and scholarships to St. John's University and Caldwell Collegeg saluta- torian Ellen Riccobono, who earned the English Medal, Evelyn Eggers, who merited the Religion Medal and a scholarship to St. John's Universityg and Joan Aberbach, who received the History Medal and a scholarship to St. Joseph's College. June graduates eagerly anticipate this traditional cere- mony held at the Academy of Music. The violinists play softly as the graduates form in line to reap the reward of four years of study. Monsignor Baldwin pre- sents the graduation medal and diploma to Mary Curley as Frances Sullivan walks across the stage to receive hers. Later, Monsignor addressed the graduates on their new role as Catholic women. I T. Y' A, ,

fa OUR AL The Ladies' Auxiliary and Alumnae jointly sha-re in a large part of Fontbonne's success. Each month the Ladies' Auxiliary, under President, Mrs. James Grady, meet to discuss new ways to help Fontbonne. Its zeal has been illustrated in such accomplishments as furnishing classrooms in Sacred Heart building, purchasing a Water fountain, and contributing to St. Joseph's Novitiate at Brentwood. The Auxiliary also offers two half scholarships annually to St. Joseph's College for women. The Alumnae have distinguished them- selves by their continued school spirit as personified by their aid to the poor, their interest in Fontbonne's projects, and their scholarship fund. 22, Wlsfgy .,.,, mf Y fix jf 84 if V' .J a- X L, ,X Q ,Y if, l X X Mothers and daughters gather in St. Patrick's Church on the first Saturday of October to participate in the Mass.
