' 64556 fr, Euthusiastic representatives of the Propagation of the Faith under president Jeanne 0'Brien get ready to send copies of Jubilee, America, and Sig to hospitals, prisons, and mission lands. V The generosity of the Charity Club and the Propagation of the Faith brings Font- bonne innumerable blessings. Motivated by a desire to serve God, their members endeavor by prayer and good works to aid the home and foreign missions. Visits to hospitals, the Mite Box Drive, and the collection of articles for the destitute and imprisoned are some of their many activities. A highlight of the year's program is the Mission Show in which the students combine their talents to earn money for the National Society for the Propagation of the Faith. WZ! President Maria Sanchez happily demonstrates the proper method of checking in a book to the other attentive Library Club members. 'Ve-at The Charity Committee led by president Mary Curley wrap cakes of soap to be sent to the patients on Welfare Island.

U '5f live eff tj cet cviifciip ii f Smiling French Club members gather around secretary Joan Sica as she relates en francais the old but still delightful tale, Noiraud The desire to improve their French pronounciation and to enjoy French culture prompts attendance at these bi-weekly meetings Practical application of the lessons learned in class is the aim of Fontbonne's French Club. At its bi-weekly meetings, the Senior members of Le Cercle de Notre Dame combine scholarship with relaxation as they sing, dramatize skits, enjoy games, and listen to recordings en francais. In this informal atmosphere, these mademoiselles deepen their appreciation of French culture and acquire greater fluency in speaking a modern language. Fontbonnels library is kept at the peak of etiiciency by an active Library Club which meets under Chairman Maria Sanchez on the tirst and third Tuesdays of each month. Daily, the members assist the Librarian in cataloging, shelving, and checking books. This contact enables these library pages to develop their literary tastes and to gain a valuable working knowledge of library man- agement and routine. 4 4 5 5 wigs These Seniors put into practice the knowledge learned in their French classes.
