Fontbonne's religion course is designed to give its stud- ents a well understood and firmly rooted faith. Although moral counsel and Catholic philosophy begin with our religion classes, they are by no means confined to these three or four periods a week. There is an under- Current of religion in everything that is said or done in Fontbonne. Our formal religion program includes a year study for each of the following: Church liturgy, the Scrip- tures, the Commandments, and Church History. A thorough interpretation of the four major encyclicals is also included in the religion schedule. Aside from the required religious training, Catholic doctrine is in- jected into every other class. As the students absorb Christian principles throughout the day, their moral background is being formed as is, consequently, their way of life.
