Homecoming started offi- cially on October ll with a pep rally in the high school gym. Weeks of work were cul- minated in the parade of October 12 where the seniors captured first prize, the freshmen second, the sophomores third, and the juniors fourth. The floats were well built and made a fine appear- ance during the half time ac- tiwties at the football game where Queen Edythe the Fontanelle Wolves tied the Anita Spartans 6-6. The identity of the Home- coming Queen for 1956 was re- vealed at the Coronation cere- monies immediately following the football game. Queen Edythe Nichols and her escort, Gary Ehrenfried led the grand march which began the homecoming dance.
