Progress 'V ,Bling 13 1953 1915 Progress The first school in Fontanelle was a two room building which offered some high school subjects In 1881 a new 'Q frame building was erected at a cost of S10 4-00 and was considered the finest in the county at that time The first class graduated june 27 1884 On October 7 1915 the corner stone was laid for a new brick build mg This building had a gymnasium manual training room and home eco nomics department The first floor housed the grades and the high school was on the second floor This build mg served the community until 1953 when a new S100 000 addition was Cu npleted This consists of an audi torium, gymnasium and vocational shop.
