The Trojan Band, under the direction of Mr. Eugene Vacher, marched in many parades this year. Together with the Drill team and cheerleaders, the band marched in the FOHI Homecoming Parade, Chino Christmas Parade, Orange Show Parade, Gardena Loyalty Days Parade, and Fontana Days Parade. They also played in two concerts held during the Spring Festival, one held at the high school, and the other held at Fontana Junior High.

Of The Soul-joulbert The field of Art has many aspects.. a variety of which is offered to students in junior high. Seventh graders are required to take T a semester of Art I, but in eighth and as ninth grade it is offered as an elective. . Homemaking helps prepare girls for QQ? 1 N- w . problem-solving in domestic living. Girls sss study sewing, cooking, interior decorating, and hygiene. 5 SSE Typing is an elective for eighth and ninth grade students. Eighth graders take Personal Typing. Ninth grade students have their choice of either Pers onal Typing or Advanced Personal Typing. Drama introduces students to creative expression through action, words, and the basic emotions. The course is offered to eighth and ninth graders. Stu- dents create original skits in class, using their knowl- edge stud of the world around them. In advanced drama, ents performa cutting from a play for their finals.

Expanding Music Under the direction of Mr. Eugene Vacher, the Orchestra has given many fine perform- ances this year. For their first presentation, the orches- tra played in the a nnual Chr i s t m a s program. The orchestra also played in the Spring Concert at FOHI. Many members of both the band and orchestra partici- pated in the San Bernardino y County ,Band and Orchestra i Clinic. Daily rehearsal enables Trojan band to perform for all pep rallies and assemblies, 'as well as concerts and parades. Top Row: Jerry Saline.
