Tom Waleszonia C215 puts in clutch free throws in Redlands game . FOHI 63 Pacific 86 Despite a record breaking performance by Steeler forward Tom Waleszonia, who ripped the cords for 36 points, and won him- self C.B.L. scoring honors, the Pacific Pirates outscored Fon- tana 86-63 . Pacific dominated the boards throughout the entire game and therefore kept one step ahead of the Steelers. Other Steelers scoring included Beckham and Jerry Shearer who swished T2 and lO respectively. FOHI 47 Redlands 48 The Terriers from Redlands nipped Fohi 48-47 in the heart-breaker of the season . Fontana rallied from T4-8, 28-23,and 39-34 deficits in the first, second, and third quarters to pull with- in two points of the Terriers. Tom Waleszonia led all scoring with i8 points. Terry Beckham and Jerry Shearer racked up T2 and 8 re- spectively for the hometown five. Terry Beckham 151 lays in two after faking 50.

FOHl 60 San Bernardino 65 0Hl 64 Chaffey 66 Henry Head led the scoring with i9 points followed closely by Tom Waleszonia who scored l8. Terry Beckham also contri- buted i2 points. Fohi battled Chaffey in the thriller of the season, but Chaffey was able to outscore the Steelers 66-64. Fohi, time after time, was able to pull from a deficit of i0 points to tie or overcome the Chaffey lead . Tom Waleszonia continually added many clutch baskets in the Steeler surge. Waleszonia led the overall scoring with a 30 point effort while Terry Beckham and Joe Waleszonia added i0 and 8 points re- spectively . HOME60MlN6' The Cardinals of San Bernardino were able to nose out the Steelers on a second half surge that powered them to a 65-60 win . Fohi was able to pull to a i9-i4 first quarter lead and a 35-3l lead at half, mostly on the scoring of Henry Head and Terry Beckham . The Cardinals displayed a 23 point 3rd quarter effort that over- took the Steelmen. At this time the Cards held a slim 54-52 lead that they never relinquished. The C.l.F. bound Ramona Rams edged the Fontana Steelers 62-55, in Fohi's Homecoming battle . Ar the end of the first quarter it looked like the Rams were on their way to an easy victory with a 2i-l3 lead. But the never-say-die Steelers battled into l7. 1 contention with a 20-point 2nd quarter outburst. Down 39-33 at halftime, Fontana narrowed the gap and tied the game by the end of the third quarter. Fohi's Terry Beckham came up with his best game of the season by leading the Steelers with 2l points, followed by League leading scorer, Tom Waleszonia with
