FULTONVILLE TRI-COUNTY BASKETBALL CHAMF'lONS The 1938-39 season was the first time in the history of F. H. S. that the basketball team had been so successful. They were crowned Co-Champions with llroadalbin in the Tri--County League. The Varsity won twelve games and lost four. The boys who received letters are: Capt. Floyd Rose, Harold Skinner, Howard Bellows, George Podmajersky, Paul Moran, Lawrence Quackenbnsh, I-Iazlett Quackenbush, Harold Rose and Harry Gill, Mgr. The junior Varsity was also crowned Champions by winning ten games and losing one game. Through the excitement of spills and fast scoring, the DI. V. won their title. XYhen the All-Star Team was elected, two F. H. players, Capt. F. Rose, center, and Harold Skinner, forward, were chosen for their 'respective posi- tions. llellows, Pod, and Moran were given honorable mention by the select-- ors of the all-star team. S FULTONVILLE HIGH SCHO0L'S THREE CHAMPIONSHIPS The Fultonville High School teams, under Coach Bernard Fasulo, won E three 1938-39 Championships in a row, Baseball, Soccer, and Basketball. B In the spring of 1938, the green and white colors of F. H. S. moved up to the top when the Baseball team won the first championship, this same season A the Soccer team, not to be outdone, won the second championship and the L Basketball season of H38-39 brought the third championship. Our Coach should be given much credit for this successful record for under I. his able direction, F. H. S. has turned out only the best. PAUL MORAN, Sports Editor. Fultonville baseball is off to a good start for its second straight league championship by defeating Broadalbin and Fonda. In non-league competition the Green and White has won over Johnstown and St. Mary's, losing only to Johnstown. Moran and Skinner are doing the pitching while Captain Bellows is catch- ing. F. Rose, H. Rose, Vodniajersky make up the infield while the outfield is taken care of by the Quackenbush brothers, Smith, with Harris, Dufel, Cranl' er and Luft as capable substitutes.
