Senior Glass Zbistnry UR three years we have labored. plodded. sailed.. or slid through high school until now with a treasure of pleasant memories behind us and hope and vision ol a splendid future ahead, we prepare to leave the school which has figured so promi- nently in our daily lile. As sophomores, we played our role admirably well. At first we formed a rather passive background to the more active juniors and seniors: soon we began to assert ourselves. Our school spirit was evidenced early by our interest in all organizations and athletics. 'l'he basketball games held at the old coliseum were never without their crowds of boisterous sophomores. Sophomore days were happy days. ln retrospect it seems as though they were merely playtime because we have found so much harder work since. .Ks September nineteen twenty-four arrived, we were conscious ol' having moved a notch higher since our previous yearp and, therefore. we proceeded to acquire a new dignity, Our active interest in school life increased tenlold. Science Club, De Orator- ibus. and lennis Club were formed, many of us becoming charter members. Much en- thusiasm was aroused for debating as the girls vied with the boys. for the first time, for positions on the lriangular teams. ln November we elected class oflicers, but we were unable to have any parties as we had no gymnasium. Our honor roll showing was commendable in our junior year as we had a good percentage ol' our class on the list and, several times. held the highest averages in the school. ln basketball, in football. and in baseball many worthy juniors received letters. Our junior days were brimming over with active and interesting high school life. lt was then that we gained enthusiasm and ambition. But it is to our senior year that we must look to appreciate truly our high school life. l'he hopes of years were at last realized. liarly in November the school addition. containing the new combined gymnasium and auditorium. was finally completed. What senior has not experienced a sincere thrill of pride and of satisfaction as he has entered that gymnasium for programs, pep meetings, parties, and basketball games? We are equally proud of our cafeteria where we have enjoyed hot dinners on cold winter days and appetining lunches after organization parties. Uur school life has been further rounded by the new courses of home economics. manual training, auto mechanics, and physical education, Due credit must be given to the senior class officers who with the senior advisors worked to make the senior mixer, held in january, such a remarkable success - -,leanne Tennant Parte Twfnl 1'-we
