Academic Decathlon L-Ft: Nathan Oliver, Todd Weber, Bob Schrimer, Mark Baniak, Bonnie Sexton, Sandra Berry QL-RJ Chris Bennett, Chris Dort, Coach Johnson, Jenn Dockstadder Nathan takes the bronze in Economics. Bob takes the bronze in both Math and in the essay competi- 2O tion. The Academic Decathlon Team earned first place in the small schools division of the Sacramento County Academic Decathlon again this year. The decathlon is a series of tests that test the knowledge of students in the area of math, science, social science, literature, economics, and fine arts. Students are required to give both a prepared and impromptu speech. They are required to write an essay and participate in a Super Quiz on this years topic: The History ot Flight. For Folsom High to take home the gold for a second year demonstraits not only the ability of the students who partici- pated but the ability of Folsom High as a Whole.
