As students, all of us live as promises that our country and our American Way of life shall forever be preserved. We are the sole promises of freedom, progress, and peace that our troubled world must rely upon if these concepts are to remain a reality We each are faced with the ponderous responsibility of achieving the promise that our lives hold for the World around us. In preparation for this future, We have sought edu- cation at Folsom High School, Folsom, California. Before long, the reality of Folsom as bricks and mortar, as classrooms and classes, will fade from each of our lives, and will be replaced with the memories of our high school days, our happiness, our depressions, our successes, our failures, our lives, our living, the fascinating and unforgettable experiences of our education. We may and shall serve as living tributes to our school by fulfilling the potentials that we have gained as students here. Long after her mortar fails and her bricks disintegrate, long after the last cheer dies down and the stadium is gone, our school will live in the fame of her student's children. She will thrive in the hearts and minds of the students to whom she taught the truth of freedom from a chair of gold, students who are eternally wealthy with the inspiring power of creativity, and men and Women who, in ultimate tribute to their gracious parent will be the founders of schools of truth all over the world. Oh mother of truth, Wise mentor of youth. All hail to ye Folsom High. Alan Henderson Student Body President 11
