Dear Friends, We gave you all we had to give. Sometimes we were so busy that we hardly saw ourselves for days. Sometimes we grieved over things, with lashes wet. But tears dry in such a little while. 0 Our theme this year is Life at Foard. Here we have often exper- ienced the softening ministry of disappointment and the enlarging rninis- try of failure. We haven't always had the long gaze, but we have given devoted attention whenever circumstances warranted, especially on the days before report cards were distributed. Neither have we undervalued the ordinary occasions which stretched between the big moments of our school life this year. Haven't we always taken advantage of the teachers' occasional absences from the rooms to let our voices descend on high? Not all the the entreaties of our teachers fell upon deaf ears either. We were smart enough to read the day's disasters in their moming faces! How attentive we were then. If at all possible, however, we managed to watch Preach mowing the lawn or sweeping the halls. But in the main we displayed the revealed glory of the accepted children of God, even though our little tricks made some of our teachers doubtful. Some of us were not content until we became twinkling stars, steadfast in our orbits. For this, Coach and the 4-H leaders were most grateful. And now, Friends, if it is really true that people are always wishing for some power to see themselves as others see them -------- just stand aside and see yourselves go by!
