CLASS HISTORY In order to summar17e the ristorv of the Senlor class of l958 we must first ge sack to the year of 1926, when seventeen puplls of the present class took thelr iniatory step together ln thelr twelve vears of school work mhlS number lncludes Vlrginia Bober Emma Bucco, Dorothy lisher, Anna Louise Harrls, Lena Hess, Althea HOlllHgSWOTth, David Holllngsworth, Ilene Huff, Anita Hunphres, ualford Klrk, Wayne Lydlck, Edward Martowicz, Vlrginia Michelll, Tames Moole, Emma P riak, Juanlta Stewart, and V1rg1n1a Teschner ose who golned later are Harry sell, Albert Conaway, delen l+tGP, Paullne Fuller, darry Gill, Irma Glllingham, Walton Howell nthony Micklovle, Stanley Novak, T11 Owings, Touls Palleva, Jean eterson, Mabel Pritts, Alfred hlley, Flora Mae Smith, Gene Thrash, lon Twarog, John Van Curen, Kda Walter, and Clarlce Wilson After once acquainted wlth school llfe, we had little dlificultv in learning the subjects whlch were to a1d us in our high school Wets and d6f1UitiODS to f.m1l1ar1ze us for our future education e are indebted to the grade teach rs for their instruction in dis pllne and companionship, whlch are two mportant factors in ole entary tralning When we entered hlgh sclool as Fleshmen, we were confronted vlth different nd more perplexlng t sks We were belittled and olsgraeed by the upper classmen, because of our unusual actions and gestures We found out that we had to be more self reliant than before The sutgects we took were concerned with a broader fleld, and gave us time to ponder on certain topics Although they were easy and lnterestlng, thev were also lnstructive and practical In our Sophomore year, we came to the conclusion that we were nit,n and that the rest of the high school could not continue J h 1ts UCtlVitlOS without us It seemed that we were always subject to lnformlng, but never susceptlble to advlse from our fellow class men Nevertheless, our school year ended wlth us realiz1ng that the next year we would have to reform to remain ln equltable stand lng with the rest of the students The Junlor year was eertalnly busy one No one could be idle s there were so many thlngs to be completed Worklng on the Lit orian, givlng 1 plar, and choosing class rings interfered with all of our studles At the end of the year we became more experienced 1n soeiablemess, by attending the Junlor Senior Banquet, which we successfully financed Each year ln high school brings us nearer to things which we wlll practice ln everyday llfe after we graduate, and this Junlor year stands above them all Page twelve f I . 0 .
