Helping Siudenis Billy Joe Villarreal Ruth Payne and Ruby Bunch .,22.'?.. '.... JL-2 ln and Faculig ai FHS The men behind the scenes at FHS are the custodians. These men work during the day as well as before and after school hours to see that the building and its facilities are ready to roll for the students and faculty. These men make FHS a much more comfortable place to work and study. When something falls, breaks, or cracks, there is always a custodian nearby to help. When third period rolls around, you can count on the aroma of lunch drifting through the air. The ladies who work in the cafeteria prepare a well-balanced meal for the students and teachers of FHS every day. Their hard work is appreciated by the hungry people who go there for lunch. . . xl A-ui: Leo Cisneros gig. gs 3 l Margaret Killian, Supervisor, and Nan Green I9

Welcoming Exes Brings Pride io FHS Faculig Getting involved was the key word for the faculty members dur- ing Homecoming this year. Everyone prepared the stage and class- rooms for the big event by decorating for the assembly and cre- atively modeling bulletin boards for the ex-students. The pride FHS is noted for definitely fluctuated through the school as teach- ers excitedly awaited the arrival of the oncoming traditional activities. When all was ready, they really got involved by partic- ipating in the various meetings held on campus. For all - exes, teachers, and present students - it was a week filled with many happy memories. 18 sa rrf -K W' i N Q2 nw. wk -.,.,! WX A - :W 1 ,,,. i or r aslg p Qs' km is 4

num.. ww -a,.ff'wl. www , -,plz !l'4IVJ?- ai Entering FHS as a Freshman can only be destined as a one-way trip. From the bot- tom, the only way to travel is up. A Freshman lives and grows from the first day while the sponsors fasten their seat belts for an unanticipated exciting year ahead of them. The beginning of this unending journey was unseasoned by expe- rience. They had to learn on their own as the sponsors gradually tightened their hold on the productive class. With each new adventure, an unprohibited thrill broke out, and the Freshmen found themselves amidst an enthusiastic FHS. They hastily discarded their uneasiness and replaced it with confidence. Now, as the Freshmen learned what it meant to be a vital mem- ber of FHS, the sponsors partially lessened their urgency for authority as the Fresh- men began their individual entry into life. They grew while grasping the joys and sorrows of each new experience. School life became easy and exciting as well as important. Each member of the class advanced to a stage of personal sig- nificance that can only come from partic- ipation as a Freshman of FHS. 20 ABOVE: Leading the Freshmen through a very confusing one-way journey were officers Alex Torrez CSecretary-Treasurerb, Lori Bice CReporterb, Kelly Higginbotham CPoster Chairmanj, and Troy Marquis 4PresidemJ.
