Wilson Lahoma Matsler, Secretary and Registrar of FHS is a very busy and knowledgeable person. Added to her regular office duties, she also keeps the financial records for all school organizations and keeps the school reg- isters. Mrs. Matsler has a friendly greeting for teachers and students alike. The FHS Teacher Aide, Sherre West, appears to be the teachers' best friend as she types and runs off materials and handles films. Mrs. West is equally helpful to the students by being understanding and capable in her duties. Much of her time is spent in assisting the principal. She does indeed give aid in all phases of the school. Serving in his first full year as Assistant Principal, L. G. Wilson assumed much responsibility in addition to that of Athletic Director and Head Football Coach. There are two sides to this administrator - one side is the stern disciplinarian. The other facet is the friendly, smiling person who usually has a trick or a scheme going with many chuckles and grins. One fact is certain - there's never a dull moment with L. G. C. E. Tyer As the path of a Whirlwind winds through FHS, one person stands out as a guidepost signaling various directions which can or should be taken. This person is the principal of Floydada High School, C. E. Tyer. In addition to student guidance, Mr. Tyer must handle person- nel, record information for governmental agencies, and attend end- less meetings. Together the students and teachers go through much during the year. There are good times along with some bad. The faculty contributes to keep- ing the spirit of FHS high.
