Superinlendeni Paves Road for Sludenis' Journeys A very outstanding figure we meet in our Journey through Whirlwind Country is A. E. Baker, Superin- tendent of Floydada Schools. He is an extremely hard-working individual who tries to make our roads smooth but with just enough bumps left to help us know what to expect in future years. Like all other hard-working administrators, he takes a little time off now and then to enjoy a game of golf or to read a good book, among various other interests. A. E. Baker is a dedicated man who is highly respected by students and faculty alike.

School Board Works for Bel-ferment of Schools Students and faculty aren't the only ones who keep FHS running smoothly. The members of the school board contribute their time, thoughts, and energy as well. A few of their activities include set- ting school policies, hiring the faculty, and deciding where funds should be spent. C. E. Tyer As the path of a Whirlwind winds through FHS, one person stands out as a guidepost signaling various directions which can or should be taken. This person is the principal of Floydada High School, C. E. Tyer. In addition to student guidance, Mr. Tyer must handle person- nel, record information for governmental agencies, and attend end- less meetings.
