Mrs. Casteel serves as the sponsor. She has given her time, guidance, and support to the squad for three years. Carol Lee was the alternate cheerleader this year. energy, 'back the teams with great enthusiasm The cheerleaders show their best ability at the ballgames by leading the group in yells. They spend at least three days a week practicing after school. Ballgames are fun for the cheerleaders because they have a-n opportunity to get the crowds into the real ball- game spirit. 93

The cheerleaders each year strive to put their pep and energy to good use. This good use is always centeredupon the Eagles and Eaglets. This year for the first time the cheer- leaders chose amascot, Ann Moore. She was unanimously accepted by the squad and went along with the cheerleaders to every game. The cheerleaders had many activities which kept them busy. They sponsored pep L-R: Kathleen Agnew, Co-captain and Sue Poff, Captain, of the cheerleading squad.
