611155 I-llstary The great day had arrlvedl 1952 Thxs was the tlme for us to enter the eighth grade Here we were greeted by Mrs Slmpkms and the late Mrs Dobyns as our sponsors This year was a year of mystery as we were 1ust begmnmg 1n a way to th1nk and peep mto the closed book called our future at F H S Suddenly! 1953 We were freshmen' It seemed that only a page had been turned ln our book Thxs year we had the pr1v1lege of having Mrs Scruggs Mrs Mlller and Mr Williamson as our sponsors Nlneteen hundred f1fty four showed up 1ust as we began to look toward approachmg the m1ddle of our book as sophmores Thxs year we had as our sponsors Mrs Scruggs and Mrs W1lson The elected officers were President Thelma Gardner Vice Presldent Betty Sweeney Secre tary Treasurer Donna Lee, Reporter, Av1s W111lS S C A representatives Dorls Spangler and Wayne G1llesp1e At last we had passed the m1ddle of our book It was 1955 andwe were 1un1ors Mrs Howard and M1ss Slusher were our sponsors Acting as officers were, Presldent, Thelma Gardner Vxce Pres1dent Wayne G1l1esp1e, Secretary Donna Lee Treasurer, Betty Sweeney Reporter Dorxs Spangler and S C A representatives Thelma Gardner and Mamie Phllhps Our jumor year was h1gh11ghted by the presentation of our play Seventeen is Terrtfic and by the arrlval of our class rmgs Nineteen hundred flfty slxl The last year and the last of our book!
