CHICAGO ILLINOIS June 2, 1965 Dear classmate of 1950, The Executive Cbnmittee of the Alumni Association of Floyd High School has received replies from the 1950 graduates with large contributions from each for the Memorial Fund. It will be interesting to the class to know that they have so many successful classmates. Letters received brought this in- formation: Huth Gallimore - a beautician who-now has her own exclusive shop, The La Vogue Beauty Salon in New York city. Capt.Curtis Bower - of the U. S. Air Force stationed in Pago Pogo, in the Phillipines. Freeda Ratcliff - personal advisor to the famous Mr. Moneybags in New York city. Merrill Reed - a leading dairy farmer of Floyd County. Norma Graham Hatcher and Jabe Hatcher - happily married and living on Honey- moon Lane. Jabe is now owner of the local Mick or Mack Grocery. Norma is kept busy with the twins. Marie Spangler - world famous chemist known for her discovery of the cousin to a germ. James Bower - a manufacturer of atomic powered automobiles. Helen Tolbert - employed in Halifax, Nova Scotia as publicity agent for the loose 'Em Cb., a reducing pill company. Bobby Thompson - cartoonist. His comic strip Moonshine Hollow is eager- ly awaited by kids fran eight to eighty. Dorothy Akers - a famous TV star and wife of a wealthy business man. David Bowman - owner of the largest dude ranch in Texas, The Rockin' Saddle. Wallace Dalton - just returned from South Africa where he was a missionary and is now touring the country telling of his experiences among the natives. !Elnora-Hannan - art manager of the Markle Advertising Cb. Inc., the largest advertising firm of Floyd. Frances Akers - now Mrs. Posie Weeks. She sponsors the smnner camp for girls at Destiny Bay. Ruth Bowman - interior decorator in Salt Lake City, Utah. She is now de- corating the Dreamers Holiday Tavern. Andrew Nester - a radio technician for the Navy Air Force stationed in Havana, Cuba. Rose Ellen Boyd - world traveler has stopped at Hong Kong for a little rest before cunpleting her seventh trip around the world. Ruth Pauley - after tiring of beauty contest, Ruth has opened her own tourist court at Key West, Florida. Sylvia Epperly - living a life of luxury on the Isle of Pines in the Caribb- ean Sea.

Etheleene Reed - featured singer of the Moonlight Serenade on station GBD. Curtis Iddings - married to a French actress, living in a Chateau on the Seine River in Paris, France. Mary Reed - writer and director of the well loved radio show Marriage for Two. James Webb - a dentist in Richmond known for his invention of the painless and noiseless drill. Marie Barnes - stewardess for the Fly 'em or Crash 'em Air Line Co. Clyde Hylton - an engineer on the Atomic Special which runs from Lone- some Valley to Floyd. Helen Phillips - wife of a very wealthy movie magnateg she graces Hollywood Society and sets the fashion for the movie world. Virginia Phillips - playing the lead in Macbeth at the Starlight theater. Rufus Heed - criminal lawyer in Chicago. Well-remembered for his work in the case of the murder of Cock Hobin. Margurite Epperly - nurse at the Heck-all Hospital Qfor the repair of weak mindsl at Floyd. Harry Roberson - owner of the Cpicksilver Cab Co. His motto is Hop in, let's go! Mona Slusher - personal secretary to Miss Frizzel Buzzard, the first woman president of the U. S. Herman DeHart - forest ranger at Cobblers State Park, in charge of trips to Cobblers Knob. Mary Alice Hungate - a famous writer, she has written a book Life on Mars'f Dorothy Boothe - an English teacher at F.H.S. She is teaching Shakespeare's classics to many appreciative students. Arnold Kelly - a news commentator, one of the best on the Cracker Jack . Broadcasting System. Susie Sweeney - married to a wealthy business man. As she sits and knits she tries to solve the mystery If Texas Saw What Arkansas What Did Tennessee? Christine Thomas - a famous pianist married to a singer. They both travel with The Tagalong Orchestra. Wm. Earl Mitchell - runs the broken-down merry-go-round, for the Rag Mop Circus and flirts with all the pretty girls.
