Pictured above are the Floyd High School Golden Eaglets, winners of the District S Group 111 Champions of 1949-50. The Floyd Eaglets won their crown hy defeating Bland High School in the finals 41-49 in the tournament played at Pulaski, February 25. They have a record of 18 victories and 3 defeats. Left to right: Janet Scott, Margurite Epperly, co-captain, Dorothy Boothe, Mary Wilson, Betty Heed, Peggy Keith, Sylvia Epperly, captain, Helen Tblbert, Zona Sweeney, Mary Thompson, Christine Sweeney, Iva Ruth Compton, and John R. Graham. Ruth Gallimore absent when picture was taken. Sylvia Epperly and Helen Tolbert were high scorers for the season--Epperly with 349 points and Tolbert with 233, respectively.
