mom , iuiniuu IMI 1 N Jo N J si! WHEELWRIGHT CONSOLIDATED HIGH SCHOOL Carnival Crowd i -Q Mr. Hayes at the Dish Throw P. T. A. CARNIVAL Our Parent-Teachers' Association sponsors a Home Talent Carnival at or near each Hallowe'en evening. The gymnasium is appropriately decorated for the occa- sion, and we find that the evening of fun and frolic serves two functions: first, it keeps the children from roaming over town and destroying property, and second, it has become P. T. A.'s chief money raising scheme. We frequently gross 3750, and net S500 from our carnival, the S250 margin going into expenses to give everyone a good time. Our crowds run as high as l400. Some of our chief attractions are the race for King and Queen, Prince and Princess, beauty contest, Bingo, Man or mouse, Ring-a-duck, Hit the coon, and many others. Carnival Scenes You may come to our carnival hungrywbut you won't need to leave that way. We have a room for that purpose and you can eat to your heart's content. Toward the end of the carnival evening we award prizes, have the coronation ceremonies for the King and Queen, Prince and Princess, and then some one calls aut, Let's play Bingo! and the show is on again. To really know what a Wheelwright P. T. A. local talent carnival is like, you need to see and enjoy one, and that's what we are inviting you to do this VERY next year.
