The Junior Varsity Team: Counter- clockwise: Coach Lee Engbretson, Gary Elsesser, Roger Peckham, War- ner Bogle, Steve Eager, Robert Cac- cavale, Terry Tom, Bill Stoltz, Richard Spangle, Manager Dan Croy, Glenn Fitzgerald, Gabino Sandate, Johnny Emmett, Manager Mike Odberg, Billy Raymond, Shawn Starr, Randy Ben- nett, Don Nicolay, John Tobin, Mark Walsh, Pat McClanahan. Not pictured are Joe Griffith and Graham Wauga- man. Coach Engbretson’ de- scribed this year’s Junior Varsity team as ‘‘the best comeback team that | have had the opportunity to coach at Flowing Wells’’ After a slow start and some injuries, they were able to finish strong by winning nine out of their last eleven games. Their record at the season’s end was 10 wins, 9 loses. The boys showed great improvement through- out the season by work- ing hard in practice. Coach Engbretson is con- fident that many of the J.V.’ers will contribute greatly to the Varsity next year. In fact, five J.V.’ers were on the Varsity for the AA Divisionals at Buena.
