Helen Davidson and jane I-Iilernan volunteered to organize Chapel services throughout the year. Norma Wiese helped by serving as accompaniest. Chapel This weekly devotional service gives the student an op- portunity to broaden her spiritual horizons. Being aware of this important aspect of nursing, she finds rewards in these non-denominational services. Outside speakers, Bible readings, music, poetry, and prayer help to bolster a down-hearted student's courage. This devotional period allows one to grow more aware of her personal, as well as her patients', spiritual needs. Weekly chapel services play a vital role in building the foundation of a student nurse. Besides their weekly worship service, students seek the quiet and solitude of the hos- pital chapel, as illustrated by Diane Riegel.
