A cafe- teria was opened in the high school, Construc- tion on a new gymnasium and auditorium was begun, and renovation of the football stadium facilities took place. Our athletic teams contin- ued to represent our school in an outstanding manner led by our football team which enjoyed its first winning season since 1970. New staff members joined us and together we were dedicated to providing the best edu- cational climate possible for our students. We welcomed a large number of new students to Hornet Land and they along with returning classmates demonstrated the kind of Hornet Spirit that has helped to make our school the fine educational institution it is today. The ordering of graduation invitations and the measuring of caps and gowns for seniors, the delivery of senior rings to the Juniors, and the installation of 40 new members into the National Honor Society were a few of the mem- orable events during the year at the home of the Hustlin' Hornets. Graduation and the pres- entation of diplomas was the culmination of another fine academic year. l congratulate and praise the 1980 graduates of Flour Bluff High School.
