The officers of the Drill Team used their experience and dancing skills to bring many awards to the trophy case this year. They attended a summer camp in July and a contest in March. At each they were equally successful. The Drill Team attended a contest in San Antonio com- ing home with many honors. They received three plac- ques including an award for a superior rating in prop. The girls worked hard. The Drill Team ends their performance with relief and Colonel Robin Robinson displays her true feelings at the Basketball pep enthusiasm WHY- , , . CHEERING CN A WINNING SEASCN The cheers of the 1979-1980 varsity cheerleaders had a new ring as the football team began to win more and more games. These fine young girls hung in there and yelled to the very end, leading the crowds in chants and yells to support the team at football games. At the pep rallies they led the student body to the most spirit it has had in years. Of course, no pep rally would be complete without the treats handed out to the players each week furnished by the cheerleaders. These girls went to sum- mer camp for a week where they learned new cheers and perfected some old ones. For their efforts they received many awards.
