1988 Miss Southern On February 16,1988, Wendy Car- en Meyer was crowned the 51st Miss Southern of Florida Southern College. Meyer was one of 13 candidates nominated and selected by the stu- dents of the college. The candidates were nominated under the require- ments that they have a 3.0 grade point average, have at least 92 credit hours and be active in three or more campus organizations. During her years at FSC, Meyer was active in Phi Eta Sigma, the freshman honors society and Omicron Delta Kapa, the leadership fraternity in which she served as vice-president. She was also a member of Phi Chi Theta and served as that organization ' s co-direc- tor of public relations. Active in the department of music, Meyer was in Concert Band, Jazz Band, Chorale; a member of Delta Omicron and was a chapter sweetheart for Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia. In 1985 she ap- peared in the All-Campus Musical Grease. A frequent member of the Dean ' s List, Meyer was a member of Alpha Del- ta Pi Sorority, a Pi Kappa Phi Little Sister and served as the SGA Junior Female Senator. Wendy Meyer 20 Miss Southern
