The President ' s Message To The Students of Florida Southern College: First of oil, I wont to congratulate the editors, the bus- iness manager, and all those who helped to make -the Inter- lachen of 1947 a success. The difficult task of getting the material ready, and ' preparing It for the press requires not only great endeavor, but efficiency. Then, too, I want this letter to be a word of congratula- tions to the Senior Class of 1947. To most of you, this will be the end of your formal education. You will be plunged into your life ' s work. I hope that everyone of you will keep in mind that even though you are no longer on the campus, you are still a part of your Alma Mater. Your success will be its success. Finally, I should like to give a word of encouragement to all of the students who have not finished their college course. Do not let anything interfere with your college education. There is a way for you to complete it. Find that way. It is the most essential task that confronts you now. I trust that everyone of you will have a , happy summer. If I can be of service to you at any time, I hope you will feel free to call upon me. Very sincerely yours, Ludd M. Spivey President
