College Ladies League The College Ladies League meets once a month at the home of Mrs. Richard A. Seymour. Delicious desserts and delica- cies are served as the girls en- joy a time of fellowship. Spe- cial music and testimonies are featured by the students. De- votional and challenging mes- sages are brought by Mrs. Seymour and other Christian Women who serve the Lord in various ministries, with em- phasis upon how women can use their talents to bring glory to the Lord Jesus Christ. ty Miami Shores Ranch Along with the duties of President of the Junior Class, Bruce Porter is also the director of the Miami Shores Youth Ranch, held in the home of the Walkers. Bruce, as always, presents the Gospel. Dickie even trucks in people for his Ranch. Key Largo Ranch Dick Hill directs the Ranch in Key Largo every Monday night. The little home of the Mende's is packed for nearly every meeting. Mike and Bruce make a good team, any time - any where in k asf' Marie Mosher teaches some migrant children. Migrant Missions Wally Montgomery has done an excellent job in heading up the work with the migrant workers. This ministry re- quires much time, patience and love which Wally and his staff give willingly. Hundreds of men, women and chil- dren are reached each month with both the Gospel of Christ and sound Bible teaching. Kathy Zelt helps with her musical ability Mike Shaffer, the Student Body President, teaches. Wide Fields A student who is found quali- fied, may be called on to speak, or possible even to direct aBible study. This particular ministry is an ideal means of reaching to- day's teenagers with the Gospel and it has also proven extremely Valuable as a training ground for those who teach. All ranches are sponsored by the school. of pportunities The list of opportunities to serve the Lord here seems to be endless. There are Bible studies, street meetings, and mission meetings. Students pass out tracts, Witness together and ar- range programs for churches they visit. Many of our students use the new college survey , which seems to be an excellent Way to open conversations about the Lord. Our Chorus often has the privi- lege of presenting the Gospel in both testimony and song. The group sings at different churches , civic clubs, appears on televi- sion, and holds radio concerts. This is an excellent way to serve the Lord through music. It is an instrument that reaches some people who would otherwise possibly never hear a sound gospel message. Informal get-togethers allow a relaxed atmos- phere so that people without Christ feel wanted and at home . At our After Glows Cat rightj singing, testimonies, and food are the ingredients. Bob Poulsen, Ralph Arnold, Doris Cail, and Donna Thompson sing an impromptu number at the Poulsen's home. Of course, the best opportunities of all are the per sonal contacts, as Dr. Stanford has above. ariety of Ways We also have an undefeated touch- football team of five years standing, We have played all comers. Jackie Holmes, top athlete of Miami, is one of those who has trusted Christ. Sports Provide an Open Door to Win Many Athletes to Christ Florida Bible College is a sports-minded school, but sports take aback seat to spiritual things. We use sports as a means toan end - to win athletes to Christ. At left, Dave Wallace jumps during a game. to Spread Music has a way of preparing an audience for the presentation of the gospel. Therefore, F, B, C, attempts to train its students to understand the importance of gearing music to the type of meeting being conducted. Ben Elbe, at left, plays at the begin- ning of a meeting to help assemble the people. And the Girls' Quartet fCaro1, Doris, Cheryl, and Beckyj sing a testimony in song. the Gospel Two very important items in contemporary world evangelism are the use of the printed page, and of course, prayer for laborers for the field. 1 A x za, t A ex ., K, Sometimes the best way to reach people - especially junior high kids - is to have a party. In this case it was a Halloween Party at the BocaBeach House, and the beautiful witches and ghosts doing the sing- ing are Joan Paynter, Marty Riggs, and Kathy Paynter. f ip, - ur Unique Emphasis To call our emphasis unique is in one sense of the word a misnomer, because personal soulwinning ought to be the normal activity of believers. The tragedy is that soulwinning is practic- ally a lost art today. Therefore, it is necessary to put a special emphasis upon personal witnessing. Ayear is de- voted specifically studying how to Win others to Christ, but the emphasis on witnessing is all through the school curriculum. Students are taught to speak of Christ in a natural and friendly way so that people will not be offended by the way the gospel is presented. We are saved to serve. After a Thursday night Ranch meeting Susie Streib explains the gospel to a newly made friend. Some of the most fruitful time for personalwitnessing can be found after gospel meetings. The visitor has already heard the gospel from the speaker, been relaxed by the music, and given a friendly welcome by regular attenders. Each One Won Winning Another One Doo Hickma.n,from Atlanta, Georgia Cbelowb makes a new friend before a meeting, helping the boy to feel right at home. Primarily, though, WE LOOK FORWARD. We know Who holds our future and are joyfully anticipating God working out His will in our lives. WE LOOK AROUND us, and realize that this genera- tion we live in must be reached with the gospel of Christ. We cannot rest in what others have done before us. There is so much to do now, and too few to do it, so great a har- vest and so few laborers, so many open doors, and so little time. So, WE LOOK UP! The answer to this world's problems does not lie in new political reforms, church councils, finer educational programs, better living conditions, now in any- thing of this world. Things will not be wholly set right until The Lord Jesus Christ comes again to rule and reign. Until that great event takes place men will be saying, Peace, Peace, but there will be no peace. If you, dear reader, do not have the peace of knowing you are going to heaven when you die, why not believe God's Word right now - about Himself, about yourself, and about the way to heaven? ABOUT GOD - Thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with Thee. tPsalm 5:45 - THERE IS NO SIN IN HEAVEN. ABOUT YOURSELF - For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. fRomans 3:23p - None of us are perfect, so none of us can go to heaven the way we are. But ABOUT THE WAY TO HEAVEN - For God so loved the world tyou includedj that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever Qyou, againl believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. fJohn 3:l6J - YOU CAN HAVE ETERNAL LIFE IN HEAVEN BY TRUSTINGCHRIST AS YOUR SAVIOUR. 173 WALSWORTH Marceline, Mo., U.S.A
