COLLEGIATE CIVITANS The Collegiate Civitan Club is a chartered member of the Civitans international and is sponsored by the Florence Civitan Club. The main goal of this organization is to encourage good citizenship at the college level through services to the community. Some of the ser- vices this year have included parking cars and ushering for the Art and Lecture Series at USCF, rendering assistance during regis- tration, selling Claxton fruitcakes during the Christmas season and putting out a student directory.

PHI UPSILON DELTA The Phi Upsilon Delta Society, the nursing sorority, derives its name from the Greek Phylakes I-Iygeias Demou, Which means Guardians of the Health of the People. The purpose of the society is to en- courage student participation in pre -professional organizations for nurses, to foster high ideals and high standards, to provide a close relationship among the students and between the students and fac- ulty, and to aid in the development of the individual student by foster- ing good citizenship.
