Freshman Class History President Vice President CLASS OFFICERS George Del Monte FRESHMAN CLASS EDITOR Lila Litig Secretary Treasurer Bob Gallardo Joyce Beeman Simon Ayala CLASS SPONSORS Miss Marian Harr Mr. Robert Plunkett In September of 1952 eighty-three little freshmen were ushered into the halls of Florence High. Since we were the new comers we were initiated in an assembly which was viewed by the whole school. All day we felt strange because we knew everyone’s eyes were focused on us. Was that an honor? Well hardly! Although frightened and backward we looked forward to the days to come. In October the customary Frosh-Soph party was given to us by our new associates, the Sophomores. This party was well attended, and we felt better acquainted than before. In January we returned this party and there was a better attendance than before. Then came Homecoming and Western Day. Although we won nothing, it was fun competing against the upper classmen. Next year we hope to enter Florence High as a hard working Class. Sincerely yours, THE FRESHMAN CLASS Page Twenty-three
