The team lost '1 rough and tumble game to the strong Marion team in their next encounter. bollowing this a game was played in thc Tlorence gym between Dillon and Florence. florence scored the first points but were utterly 'tt a. loss by the trick passing of the Dillon sextette. Dillon nosed out a hard fought victory over the home team. lhis was the lirst loss of the season. Florence lost a heart-breaker to the strong Marion team in Marion in the return game. The team journeyed to Charleston one week-end and bagged two games from Memminger lligh School and Nlurray Vocational School. lhe next week Memmingers team returned the game and defeated the Florence lassics about eight points. Keiserman a second-string for- ward substituted in this game and surprised a thrill packed audience with her uncanny shooting. She shows great promise as a forward for the coming Florence Hi-fh team. Florence lost her last game to Hartsville on March 5. which closed the basketball season for them. Player a new student in our school played a 'heads-up' game in Hartsville. The members of the regular team have asked that we give some mention to the Subs of this year as they think that they had a lot to do with the success of this year s season.
