After that, many events followed in rapid succession, and although these are far too many to enumerate, some of themore unforgettable events were: Susan's working with us for many long hours in an effort to identify student class pictures in time for the first deadline, and then working until past midnight for several nights so that the publisher would receive the required number of pages on time, Susan's working with our editor for hours on end in planning, checking details and dis- cussing possible problems with up-coming deadlines, and especially Susan's composure, even during times of crisis. 5 For these and many other reasons we would like to say, however inadequately, Thank you, Susan Laughter. l
