MEDICAL LABORATORY TECHNICIAN - MLT - 18 ALLIED HEALTH Medical Laboratory Technician students had a record high en- rollment of thirty-two students at the beginning of the 1975 scdool year, twelve being graduating seniors. IVILT grad- uates of this year will take the national registry exam given by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists in August of this year. Also, IVILT first and second-year students at- tended the annual S.C. Society of lVledical Technologists meeting in lVlay. Florence-Darlington TEC pins are now available specifically for IVILT students. This year will be the first in which stu- dents have received pins.

i During the first quarter, Dental Hygiene students took basic science courses and worked on manikins and fellow students in preparation for their first patients. The clinic began operating in January and all students were welcome to receive a complete cleaning, x-ray, and flouride treatment. The Dental Hygiene students are also members of the Junior American Dental Hygiene As- sociation. They have already had, and will continue to have, many fund-raising projects so that the members can attend the State Dental Convention and other educational lectures.
