During a year in Europe he studied in Italy, Greece. Asia Minor, and Turkey. Before he became president, he was a student and then a teacher at Adelbert Col- lege, and, finally, the Dean of University Adminis- tration. He finds time to be interested in Mather and is always one of the first speakers freshmen hear when they enter. MISS ELEANOB F. DOLAN, Dean of Mqthey College, is to every student a friend and a leader at Whom she can look as representing the upward-pro- gressing and forward-moving spirit of the School- She works on and off campus for the benefit of Mather and Mather students. It is to her and to the improvements for which she is responsible that We owe much of the gain our school has made in the last few years in local' and national standing. , j The Work of the Mather administration includes the direction of life at Mather under the general authority ot the Mather Board of Overseers, a group division of the University Board of Trustees. Subject in some matters to the university admin- istration, it is nevertheless the group and authority which retains the responsibility for giving Mather students the ad- vantages of attending a single college, with its Wider oppor- tunities for individual expression and development, at the same time that they enjoy university affiliations. This group has been successful in keeping the reputation and individuality of Mather College as separate as many of its policies.
