 We the Jury The 1979-80 all-school play was “We The Jury.’’ In this courtroom production, the defense and prosecuting lawyers (Debi Shreffler and Dan McCormick) sought, with the help of a jury selected from the audience, to find the innocence or guilt of the accused (Keith Lewis). 16 Guys and Dolls The Flora High production of the broadway musical, “Guys and Dolls was held on March 28 and 29. The lead parts were casted as follows: Sky Masterson (Gary Mills); Sara Brown (Renee Stanford); Nathan Detroit (Roger Edmison); Miss Adelaide (Emily Bunnell). The pit band consisted of individual members of the Flora High School Band. Following each performance, the cast received a standing ovation.

Homecoming The Homecoming activities started with the snake dance and bonfire. The students formed a chain at the high school and zig-zagged the streets until they reached the baseball field, where they were led in cheers by the cheerleaders. Coach Kane then gave a pep talk on the Homecoming game. The parade was marshalled by exchange student, Frank Mellone. In the float competition, the sophomores came in first place with the theme, “Every Which Way But Loose.” The football game against Lawrenceville ended in a defeat for the Wolves. “ACTS provided the entertainment for the Homecoming dance the following Saturday night.
