Senior's wolf takes first place. The class of 79 won their first float award, as they had the 1st place float entitled I've had Enough.'' The Juniors finished close second with '' Come Sail Away.'' In 3rd place was the sophomores with ' 'We are the Champions,'' followed by the 4th placed freshman float, ' 'Hot Blooded. The FHA came on top in skit competition. Former FHS Spanish teacher, Dorthy Davis, reigned over the parade as the 1978 honorary parade marshall. Juniors sail away with second. Debbie Winka and Lisa Cook working on the sophomore float. ' 'Hey, Seniors are best,'' comments Teresa Mason to Debbie Briscoe and Cathy Phillips. Cheerleaders cheer for a v-i-c-t-o-r-y. Mrs. Dudley's class form the ' 'chain gang.'' 5

Coronation was at 9:30 p.m. Retiring Queen Susan Schwaninger crowned Janet Beard 1979 Sweetheart Queen and all were amused at the performance of Jenny Sapp and John Headlee, flower girl and crown bearer.
