Get Top Priority To give us a better understanding of the universe in which we live and to help discover those capable of becoming scientists is the objective of the science department. Duane McCall starts the wheels rolling in this department by teaching freshman science. Keeping the young Einsteins rolling in the scien- tific field, Eugene Mattis teaches biology, chemistry, physics, and directs visual aids. Miss Wanda Rasor, physical education instructor, assisfs Mr. Mattis by teaching two biology classes. Teaching algebra and plane geometry is one of the many jobs of Richard Conley. Assisting Mr. Con- ley, Leslie Flick, guidance director, teaches one freshman algebra class. Students wishing to become better acquainted with advanced math may do so by selecting ad' vanced algebra, college algebra, solid geometry, or trigonometry under the instruction of Miss Patsymae Eaton. She also teaches two freshman math classes. 5 WHETHER OR NOT the tale Mr. Mattis, science teacher, is telling is one of his favorite fish stories, Miss Eaton and Mr. Conley, math teachers, and Mr. McCall, general science teacher, seem to think it's worth hearing. TYPE A, B, O, or AB? They'll soon find out. Sandra Jenk- ins, sophomore, punches Sophomore Alben Barnes' finger for the drop of blood needed to determine the type, and Sharon Peavler, sophomore, supervises the operation.
