Their cheer leaders are Sue Mann, Margie McLaughlin, and Barbara Esserman. Scattered throughout the band we find Sue Landis, Sue Mann, Ann Shope, and Roberta Allen. As members of the Student Council we find Sue Mann and Gene Michael.

They started out with only fifteen students. They proved their worth, however, in basketball and band. In basketball, we find Jerry Albaugh, Conrad Burton, and Paul Shields. Those in band are Joan Draper and Bill Adams. As student managers we find Dean Isaacs a nd Mitchell Sanderson. Members of the Student Council are Dick Carter, Joan Draper, and Paul Shields. Mrs. Douglas was chosen as class sponsor. Five boys and five girls in the class presented the play Lady Spitfire” which was very successful.

All the freshmen looked forward to initiation day trembling with fear. The girls wore overalls, their hair in pin curls without a scarf, and no make-up, while the boys were altired in girls' short dresses, women's hats, and make-up. Those taking part in band are Carol Flora, Carol Wilson, Jo Cena Calhoun, Joan Montgomery, Julia Shanks, Bill Mann, Dick Sink, Clyde Zeek, Peggy Jenkins, and Walter Kelly. The boys in basketball were Dale Day. Bill Mann, Dick Sink, Clyde Zeek, Bill Edmorson. Walter Kelly, Charles Voorhees, and Dick McPherson. The sponsor of the class was Miss Metzger.
