JUNIOR CLASS President............................Jack Fulton Vice-President....................Jerry Albaugh Secretary.........................Lois Talkington Treasurer.........................Conrad Burton Coming into the upper class status, we find the juniors racking their brains for a theme for the prom. They started out with only fifteen students. They proved their worth, however, in basketball and band. In basketball, we find Jerry Albaugh, Conrad Burton, and Paul Shields. Those in band are Joan Draper and Bill Adams. As student managers we find Dean Isaacs a nd Mitchell Sanderson. Members of the Student Council are Dick Carter, Joan Draper, and Paul Shields. Mrs. Douglas was chosen as class sponsor. Five boys and five girls in the class presented the play Lady Spitfire” which was very successful.

SENIOR CLASS WILL On this day May 6, in the year of our Lord, nineteen-hundred and forty-nine, we, the class of '49 being absolutely sane minds and sound bodies, about to depart from this institution of learning, do hereby bequest to our beloved friends and heirs the following: TO THE FRESHMEN, we leave the chewing gum we have deposited on various seats throughout the building. TO THE SOPHOMORES, our ability to get out of classes, skip school (and get caught). TO THE JUNIORS, our ability to get along in class meetings and to compromise when difficulties arise. I, THOMAS DEAN ALLEN, will my witty remarks to Dick Carter. I, WILLIAM EDWARD BEWLEY, will my interest in Delphi to anyone who can take it away from me. I, DICK NORTON BISHOP, will my buck teeth to Effie Douglas. I, LOUISE ELAINE BURNS, will my flashy red hair and the spring in my walk to Mitchell Sanderson. I, DIANA JEAN CLINGENPEEL, will my pleasing manner and appearance to Nancy Lantz. I, PAUL THOMAS GIBSON, will my smooth way of making excuses to Donnie Cling-enpeel and Louie Mocherman. I, BIRDIE LORELLE JACKSON, will all my sweaters to Jean Nevin. I, WANETA ALICE JONES, will my ability to talk through my nose to Caugh. I, JERRY LEE McCRACKEN, will my facial expressions to Annette Hinkle. I, ALBERTA MAE RODGERS, will my tired and weary ways to Jimmy McCracken. I, FRITZ GEORGE SCHNEPF JR., will my knowledge of Government to the future Govt, class. I, LLOYD HARLAN SMITH, will my long and boney figure to Bill Edmonson. I, JOANNA LOU SP1TLER, will my seemingly quiet ways to Birdie Draper- I, JORETTA LOU SHEAGLEY, will my personal nicknames and ability to break dates to Connie Burton. I, ARNOLD PRICE TEEL, will my girlish giggles to Jack Avery. I, HAROLD HUFFMAN THOMPSON, will my slick ways of receiving notes and my knowledge of hogs to Ruth Murphy. I, CARROL ERNEST VOORHEES, will my knowledge of the opposite sex to Jerry Jordan, (sophomore). I, JERRY WILES, will my straight and poised walk to Paul Shields. I, MARJORIE ELLEN ZEEK, will my matured figure to Eleanor Beam.

Edward Smith Margie McLaughlin Roberta Allen With one year gone and three years to go we find the sophomores taking over their new activities very well, contributing to basketball, cheer leading and band- In basketball they laid claim to Edward Smith, Gene Michael, Steven Mills, Jerry Jordan, and Don Bewley. Their cheer leaders are Sue Mann, Margie McLaughlin, and Barbara Esserman. Scattered throughout the band we find Sue Landis, Sue Mann, Ann Shope, and Roberta Allen. As members of the Student Council we find Sue Mann and Gene Michael.
