They are striking a Daisy Mae pose in the upper-right corner. Individually, Shirley Harbison, Captain, Bessie Beam- er, Dorothy Estes, and Mary Faye display some of their, if you will pardon the expression, talents. But let's not forget that this quartet traveled to every game to cheer the Bobcats. That never-ending spirit deve- loped into a symbol of enthusiam, on the part of the student body, to support their team —win or lose. Now it is the school's turn, to do a little cheering for the Pep Squad — you were wonderful I Mount Rushmore, South Dakota National Memorial Queen lilacs Flippin High School proudly presents these lovelies as the first football queen, Patsy Williams, reigned over the Flippin — Hickory Ridge game. She is accom- panied by her maids Helen Moore, Russelline Wood, and Patsy Lee. Sylvia Linck, one of the maids, is not pictured. White House Washington, D. C. Mr. Good News Tonight Lynn gives Connie the word on what to do with Lead Hill. Three guards that were the best in the circuit according to Bruno are; Wanda PO for Delrio Pangle, Nola Morgan, and Grace Osborn. This sextet was largely responsible for the 26-13 record winning second in the county tourney. It was a great season, gals I Virginia Beal, guard, saw a great deal of action doing a good job. Helen Moore, forward, played her best game a- gainst Snowball in District competition. Velma Kirkland, guard, was a constant thorn in the oppositions' side. Talk about being up in the air ... that's Retha on a free toss. Sylvia Slivver Rosamond, a hard working guard, Mary Parnell, forward, and Barbara Moore, guard, are promising material and have shown a great deal of improvement. Nola, PO, and Grace are to be back next year so watch outyouall. Joyce McCracken didn't get to do much guard- ing but she certainly kept morale at a peak. Helen, Connie and Pat make a fine scoring trio. Of course, they will be back to win for Flippin. Helen is laughing because Velma has her finger in count- ing ribs or tickling. Nice white shoes, aren't they? Mr. Lynn gives the word as Joyce sleeps and Helen glares at the photog. Pat Williams and Chris Evans not pictured. w' v The Junior Bobcats had a great season in the win column which included the Pyott tourney and second in the county. The starting line-up includes: George Be au, Nub Beamer, James Smith, Bobby Hurst, and Jimmy k ss. Three of the starting line-up will play senior ball next year. Hal Johnson, scrappy sub, has one more year with the kittens. J. W. McGowne, Faye Pierce, and Ray Pierce will also join the senior circuit. Jack Cecil, short but scrappy for- ward, will remain with the juniors. Out of the last eight games in the season, the juniors lost two, both in tournament competition. In the senior circuit, winning the game was secondary. Despite the fact that the season ended with one win over Mt. Home, the boys always mode a good game-of-it. Pictured on this page; James Stuck, Connie Milum, George Wilkerson, Wally Beamer, Chuck Sanders, Edsel Finley, and John Wilbanks. The senior team will lose six players via the graduation route this year. They are-. Connie Milum, Wally Beamer, Herby Domeron, John Wilbanks, Harvey Parnell, and Jim Stewart.
