Received second place in piano literary competition in eleventh and twelfth grades. CLIFF KING transferred to FRA from Harris County his ninth grade year. Played softball for 4 years, making All-Region 3 years, and receiving MVP in tenth and twelfth grades and Outstanding Player in eleventh. Was a member of the Tri-Hi-Y for 3 years. Was chosen Most Athletic in the senior class. 94fSenior Directory il it Doug Hoffman, a senior at FRA, was honored with the 4- H State Rifle Champion title in August, I982. After compet- ing at Rock Eagle in June, at which he won first place, he was advanced to the state finals in Dahlonega. Out of a possible score of ISOO for shooting ISO rebounds, Doug scored l44O. He set the state record for the highest stand- ing record. Doug is pictured above. Jeff Frazier, Cliff King, and Lee Nash were three seniors honored with the Eagle Scout Award. Before reaching this most important rank ...N in scouting, these students had to complete five other stages by earn- ing the necessary skill awards and merit badges. Merit badges play an important role by educating the boys on a particular subject. Most activities in which a scout partici- pates are camping trips, or other troop activities, and fund raisers. Each of these seniors had to com- plete a community project on his own before receiving this utmost honor. Jeff, who has been involved with scouting for seven years, was responsible for planting trees and shrubbery around the Pine Mtn. City Park. Cliff, who has been in- volved with scouting for six years. cleared a mountain overlook on the Pine Mtn. Trail. Lee, who has been involved with scouting for seven years, cleared the cemetery in Gay.
