NOTE FROM THE EDITOR This cruise book is probably the most difficult task ever assigned to me since my reporting aboard the USS FLINT. I hope that everyone that reads through its pages will come to know the large contribution of main ' people. I would like to personally thank my cruise book staff for donating their time and effort into making this production a success. This book is part of history - every time a crew member opens it, he or she will remember many days of work, hardships, UNREPS, mail calls, and memories of times past. We all shared in the FLINT family and it helped us to get through the bad times and the good times. As this book goes to the publishers, there may be some errors.
