KINGDOM OF TONGA Tonga was the first stop on WEST PAC '92. While inport the crew got to sample all this tiny island nation had to offer. This included scuba diving and snorkeling, on reefs that were teem- ing with life, or sightseeing at one of many points of interest. Spectacular blow holes and giant Fox Bats were two of the more popular natural attractions. During our visit one of the local resorts spon- sored a ship's party where fun was had by all. By the time the ship departed, everyone on board had memories of Tonga that would last a life time. 11? Y , .,YY ,.. - ABOVE:Oneof the hundreds of blow holes on Tongas' North Shore. LEFI':Thecross roads of the world, Tonga style. ABOVE: The long, err, large arm of the law. BELOW: Captain Edwards and Commodore McDonough present a ships plaque to the Administrator of the Tongan Red Cross.
