In this game Gerald Collins made a fan- tastic total of 45 points. At the Weston Tournaments, we played the first g-me against St, Patrick's Irish, which was an easy ”-ictory for Flemington. The second night of the tournament, Fleming-on clashed with Burnsville and lost the game by only one point, with the final score, 41-50. The Greyhounds then went to Weston to meet the St. Patrick's Irish, and again this was an e sy victory for Flemington. The score was 73-51 The Greyhounds faced their third defeat when we met c, Bristol and lost with the score, 70-66, Then a trip to Coalton where the Greyhounds, after a few tense moments, sailed over Coalton to make this their sixth victory. Next trip to Pruntytown where the Greyhounds met the Industrial School Cardinals The Cardinals took the lead, but the Greyhounds, under the brilliant coaching of Mr. «Jdseph Parkinson, showed their remarkable ability to handle the ball as a teem and come out of the g_ me with a victory which made the seventh win of the season. In the next game, the Greyhounds battled Coalton in a game played at home. After showing their ability to work as a team the Greyhounds again defeated Coalton for thsir eighth victory. After a long trip to Greenbank the Greyhounds started off with the lead, but Greenback soon overtook them and the Greyhounds lost, making this their fourth loss of the season. For the third time the Greyhounds met St. Patrick's Irish and won hands down with the final score, 101-62. Flemington then clashed with Salem and after a furious battle lost, making this the fifth defeat of the season. f % A.ter a gruelling battle with Bristol, the mighty Greyhounds finally put the winning two points in the basket to lead th. m to a 59-57 victory over Bristol. In this game Flemington displayed their teamwork which had so far brought them ten victories. Then a trip to Tygart Valley, where the Greyhounds, though they tried, lost by twenty-seven points. The Greyhounds faced their seventh loss, when they battled Salem at a game played at home on Valentines Day. Then the mighty Greyhounds faced a team that had defeated them twice and pulled through with the victory. The Flemington team won their eleventh •'•ictory. Easily the Greyhounds beat the Industrial School Cardinals for their twelfth win with the score being 84-52. Then another defeat, Flemington1s eighth loss, when Greenbank beat us in a gome played at home. In the last game of the season, the game went into overtime, with both the Greyhouncs and Tygart Valley won 84-82. We want to congradulute the first five, Gerald Collins, LeeRoy McKinney, Larry Riffle, Knady Gray, and Donald Findley, on their fine playing throughout the season. We also want to give our congradulations to our new coach, Mr. Joseph Parkinson, for shaping up a winning team with only one of last years first five to start with.
